About the
Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Inc.

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Inc. was founded by a small group of volunteers in 1991 to encourage the early detection of breast cancer in Delaware. Since then, it has grown to a state-wide organization with offices in Wilmington, Dover, and Lewes, a professional staff, and a large group of dedicated volunteers.

Our mission is to empower our community by raising awareness of breast health issues through outreach, education and support services, in order to facilitate early detection and treatment of breast cancer. DBCC’s vision is to create a community where every person diagnosed with breast cancer becomes a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with knowledge and hope.

The generous support of our donors has allowed us to expand our outreach programs to increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, and provide support and resources to women who have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Our programs reach into diverse communities to deliver unique messages that address their unique concerns about breast cancer and early detection. We help women with low-incomes, little or no insurance to receive free or reduced-cost care.
