Why We Care Mission

While Delaware has many things to be proud of, its mortality rates and incidence rates of breast cancer are not among them.  In 2007, an estimated 560 women in Delaware will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 120 will die from the disease. (American Cancer Society).

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Inc. (DBCC) is committed to making a positive difference by raising awareness about the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

To empower our community by

raising awareness of
breast health issues through
outreach, education and support services,
in order to facilitate early detection
and treatment of breast cancer
Vision
To create a community where
every person diagnosed with breast cancer
is a survivor,
and fear and doubt are replaced
with knowledge and hope.
