Laura Nadel, Program Director
Laura graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware with a BA degree in communications in the fall of 1998. After graduating, Laura worked as an Account Executive for Earle Palmer Brown, a full service, fully integrated marketing communications agency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then went on to become an account manager for the Digital Cable division of Comcast Cable Communications. In late 2003, a family member’s illness brought Laura and her husband back to central Delaware. After two years as an advertising manager at the Delaware State News, Laura wanted to do something more rewarding.
She joined the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition in January of 2006 under Women’s Mobile Health Screening (WMHS). WMHS runs the mammography van for the State of Delaware. The van travels throughout the State to provide mammography screening services directly to the neighborhoods in which women live and work; breaking down cultural, linguistic, financial and logistical barriers to care and makes mammograms more accessible to those least likely to obtain one. By partnering with Screening for Life, WMHS serves as the point of entry into the healthcare system at large and helps un/underinsured women to connect with a physician. Laura also manages all patient tracking, enrollment and statistical information related to the mammography van screenings and works to establish new relationships with decision makers at potential screening sites.
In her free time Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
