Wilmington University Basketball Breast Cancer Awareness Night

Join DBCC at the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Games for the Wilmington University Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams. The Women’s team will play at 6 pm and the Men’s team will play at 8 pm. The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is pleased to present VIDA!, our 2nd Annual Latina Breast Health Forum, on Saturday, March 24 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. VIDA! is a bilingual (Spanish/English) educational event on breast cancer screening, treatment, and survivorship.

This year’s event will feature free health screenings, an educational scavenger hunt, and information on breast health, treatment options and survivorship. Spanish and English speakers will present. Lunch will be provided for attendees.

15th Annual Breast Cancer Update

Save the date for the 15th Annual Breast Cancer Update! This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Dover. Details and an agenda for the event will be coming soon. Credits will be available for nursing professionals.
Each Spring, DBCC presents a symposium featuring leading medical experts and other speakers discussing the most current topics in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, detection and survivorship. The annual one-day educational forum is free and open to the public, and has become one of Delaware’s most trusted sources of up-to date breast cancer information.

Join DBCC for the Third Annual DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk at the the Tanger Outlets. Last year’s event was a blast and we want to make this year bigger than ever!

The DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk is a fun and spirited event hosted by the Tanger Outlets to benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. At this event for all ages, participants can choose to take part in a timed 5K Run, a 5K Walk or a 1-Mile Fun Walk. Run or walk in honor or memory of someone in your life who has been impacted by breast cancer. Participants are invited to be creative with team names and attire—wear PINK!
All proceeds from the 2012 DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk benefit DBCC’s programs that increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms, and provide support and resources to men and women in our local community who are newly diagnosed or facing recurrence of breast cancer.

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition proudly presents the 14th Annual Northern Lights of Life: An Evening of Living and Giving gala on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the breathtaking Conservatory at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. This event is the Brandywine Valley’s premier breast cancer fundraiser.
The evening will include gourmet food stations and cocktails, exciting live and silent auctions, live entertainment and an upbeat fashion show featuring models who are breast cancer survivors. All funds raised at this event support DBCC’s programs and services in Delaware and the surrounding communities.
