May is Mammography Month Tanger Outlets Campaign

In partnership with the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach, DBCC will be offering a free $10 gift card to those who get their mammogram in April, May or June. To receive this gift card, women can stop by one of DBCC’s three office locations or the resale shop, Great Stuff, located in North Wilmington. Women will be given a voucher for a $10 gift card that can be redeemed at the Tanger Outlets service centers.

The “Hooked on Pink Patio Party” will be held on Friday, May 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 at Just Hooked Restaurant. Tickets are $25 each which includes 2 drinks (red or white wine or draft beer) and many delicious appetizers. Silent auction will be held from 7:00-7:30. The event will feature the Galaxy Collective Band. Proceeds benefitn the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

The DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk is a fun and spirited event hosted by the Tanger Outlets to benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. At this event for all ages, participants can choose to take part in a timed 5K Run, a 5K Walk or a 1-Mile Fun Walk. Run or walk in honor or memory of someone in your life who has been impacted by breast cancer. Participants are invited to be creative with team names and attire—wear PINK!

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition proudly presents the 14th Annual Northern Lights of Life: An Evening of Living and Giving gala on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the breathtaking Conservatory at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. This event is the Brandywine Valley’s premier breast cancer fundraiser.
The evening will include gourmet food stations and cocktails, exciting live and silent auctions, live entertainment and an upbeat fashion show featuring models who are breast cancer survivors. All funds raised at this event support DBCC’s programs and services in Delaware and the surrounding communities.

DBCC is hosting a Volunteer training for anyone interested in volunteering and getting involved in the local fight against breast cancer. The training will include background information about breast cancer, the organization, and volunteer opportunities. Volunteers assist with special events and projects, including fundraisers and community education & outreach. No experience is necessary. A light dinner will be provided.
A volunteer training is held once a month in Delaware, alternating between all three counties.
