DBCC is hosting a Volunteer training for anyone interested in volunteering and getting involved in the local fight against breast cancer. The training will include background information about breast cancer, the organization, and volunteer opportunities. Volunteers assist with special events and projects, including fundraisers and community education & outreach. No experience is necessary. A light dinner will be provided.

This program is sponsored by the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition in partnership with the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center of the Christiana Care Health System. Wilmington University Basketball Breast Cancer Awareness Night

Join DBCC at the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Games for the Wilmington University Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams. The Women’s team will play at 6 pm and the Men’s team will play at 8 pm. DBCC will be at the games with educational materials and information on how to get involved in the fight against breast cancer.

Inner Art Program for Cancer Survivors at the Graham Center

Inner Art provides an informal group setting for painting instruction by a breast cancer survivor. The program is free and open to all cancer survivors. There is a $5.00 fee for guests who are not cancer survivors.

The Designer Bridal Gown Sale presented by DBCC

Join DBCC at the Designer Bridal Gown Sale, featuring over 850 bridal gowns for sale at drastically discounted prices. All proceeds will benefit DBCC’s programs and services in Delaware and the surrounding areas. The sale will take place Friday, March 2 from 4 to 8 pm, Saturday, March 3 from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, March 4 from 11 am to 4 pm.

15th Annual Breast Cancer Update

Save the date for the 15th Annual Breast Cancer Update! This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Dover. Details and an agenda for the event will be coming soon. Credits will be available for nursing professionals.
Each Spring, DBCC presents a symposium featuring leading medical experts and other speakers discussing the most current topics in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, detection and survivorship. The annual one-day educational forum is free and open to the public, and has become one of Delaware’s most trusted sources of up-to date breast cancer information.

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition proudly presents the 14th Annual Northern Lights of Life: An Evening of Living and Giving gala on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the breathtaking Conservatory at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. This event is the Brandywine Valley’s premier breast cancer fundraiser.
The evening will include gourmet food stations and cocktails, exciting live and silent auctions, live entertainment and an upbeat fashion show featuring models who are breast cancer survivors. All funds raised at this event support DBCC’s programs and services in Delaware and the surrounding communities.
